The corrugated screen is especially used when the external surface area of the borehole pipeline is increased. These ribs provide approximately 25% of the additional surface area due to their design. Furthermore, it keeps the gravel balls approximately 2mm away from the pipe, which makes it easier to clean the crevices due to the vertical flow passage and allows more water to seep through, resulting in higher yield than other flat screen pipes from the same hole.
